Tuesday I drove my sister in law and her roomate to Albertsons. I was not planning on shopping, but there were twice value coupons in the in store add! I was on a quest- find something free. I ended up getting a tube of Crest ProHealth Toothpaste.

On this shopping trip I realized that often promotions and deals fill my shopping list, and I forget to simply check for clearance items. I am setting a goal for this year- I want to be a more efficient clearance shopper.
Using coupons to get clearance items super cheap or free could be a great way to use coupons that will expire soon. I usually hold high value coupons and coupons that are for products I know I will purchase and hope for a sale or promotion where I can get the item super cheap or free. When there is only a week or two left before expiration, I begin looking for 'the best deal'. This could be the perfect time to shop clearance.
