We have a new goal of keeping our grocery budget at $25 a week or less. In the past we have just had a monthly goal of $100 or less, but it has been hard to decide when to spend it. Last month our grocery total was $112 because there were some really good Thanksgiving sales that I could not pass on, and I had spend most of my budget in the first 3 weeks of the month. I am excited to see if we can keep better track and spend less this way. This week I spent $25.81, so I did not quite keep it under $25, but I got really close! I will just have to spend less that $24.19 next week. Here is how my shopping trips went this week:

I finally remembered to try having Walmart match Smiths add, and it worked! Smiths always has their milk advertised at $1.69 for 1% or $1.79 for 2%, so having Walmart match the price gives you the cheapest milk without driving 30 min. to Idaho Falls to find a Smiths.
1% Milk $1.69
2% Milk $1.79
1 lb Brown Sugar $1.54
Match to Smiths= $.99
Total Spent at Walmart: $4.74
